August flair design reveal

August’s Kickass Flair Club drop is here. Normally I would follow that statement with a bunch of exclamation points but shit feels weird, dude. I just can’t summon the appropriate energy.

As we begrudgingly ease into fall (I hate fall, don’t @ me), the vibes rudely continue to be off. It feels like we’re living in the slowest ever apocalypse… like I thought there would be more meteors or something? Hopefully this month’s art will at least make you LOL through your unceasing spiraling dread.

This month we have the same design in 2 different flavors:

Choose the September Flair Theme (Poll)

This month we’re going to do it a bit differently. Instead of voting for a single theme, we’re going to choose a subject, theme, and vibe.

The subject is like the main character, the theme is the overall … uh, theme or activity, and the vibe is the energy of the piece.

For example, for the August design, I’d say the subject is “crystal ball”, the theme is “clairvoyance” or “divination”, and the vibe is “existential dread” lol

This isn’t an exact science and there’s a lot of overlap but just go with me on it, ok? It doesn’t need to make sense to be fun 🙂

One good thing

If you check my Instagram stories regularly, you’ll have seen that I’m redoing my home office and painting a big floral mural on the wall behind my desk!

It’s been slow going, because, well, I’m always slow to finish projects, and also because there was a snafu with IKEA (who apparently just randomly cancels orders for funsies) and I haven’t had office furniture for months.

I’ve been working from my dining room table since April (!!) and it has been NOT AWESOME. So without a desk or any other office furniture, I haven’t been in a real hurry to finish my mural.

And, since this is my first time doing a large scale painting, it’s been really nice to take my time and learn from all my mistakes!

I am planning on adding custom murals to my service offerings, so if you’re interested in a personalized hand-painted mural to elevate your space, please get in touch. I need a professional guinea pig. 😈
