In January 2026 I had the pleasure of installing a huge colorful mural at a private residence in the Florida Keys.

The goal of this project was to create a custom hand-painted mural that surrounds and brightens the ocean view, transforming the living room of the client’s beach house into a vibrant, kitschy showpiece that feels right at home in the Florida Keys.

Inspired by vintage travel posters and midcentury design, I blended aqua and orange hues with tropical motifs in my signature style, combining local flora and fauna with mid-century boomerang elements and a subtle nod to aviation to reflect the client’s personal story and love of flight. We ended up with a playful design that feels both nostalgic and fresh and complement the home’s existing funky décor.

The mural area spans approximately 5 ft × 20 ft and frames the sliding glass doors overlooking the ocean. Design development took place in November 2025, with on-site installation across two weeks in January 2026.
